Wrap Up Of The Year So Far

It has been such a hectic and fantastic year so far, good always comes with the bad. Even though I was struggling through my personal life, an injury to add to not being able to get outdoors as much, my art became my focus, my drive to succeed and to keep pushing. Here is a look at what I have been up to this year:

1// Some fun commissions.
Designing lamps that would be a part of my friends home is always a big compliment.
2// A new candle range.
People often asked me to make them something smaller and more affordable so they can give them as gifts… so this where I designed my candle light range. Still working with PVC but a different size has added a new market for me.

3// New supplier at The Ruby Orchard.
My favourite shop with so many amazing handmade goodies that you could spend days admiring. So not only was I over the moon about having my artwork stocked here they named me one of their top 3 suppliers of 2015! If you are in the midlands area, dont skip this shop out. 4// East Coast Radio Garden and Home Show and the Sustainable Living Fair.
Having an opportunity to have my lights on display at the Garden and Home show has been on my goal list since 2009 when we showed off our recycled chandeliers as students, so I was very excited to be back at this show.

5// The Bellevue Market
Becoming a part of this market I finally found a place where I belonged. Its an intimate and ambient market that allowed me to show off my lights to the best potential. What a great way to connect with people and show them what im doing in a fun and relaxed environment.

6// The Get It Magazine
My first full page photo and write up of my art was the best news after years of hard work, self doubt and wavering commitment. To be approached to have your artwork in a magazine was one of the best moments ever, this wont be the last.
  7// A new website!
Its still a work in progress.. my blogging skills are very raw (bear with me) but very excited to be able to tell you about what goes on behind the scenes, what inspires me and my path to living a creative life.

And so the year ends off with big changes.. new places and faces to go explore and meet. Im off to Cape Town for a new adventure, lifes one big adventure isnt it?
